Jan 9, Kathmandu -Dammer Sharma has been elected as the chairman of CPN-UML Kapilvastu. Sharma was elected chairman with 238 votes in Saturday's votes.

His rival Baburam Khanal got 186 votes and Netra Adhikari got 100 votes.

Similarly, Bishram Prasad Tharu has been elected as the Vice President. While Tharu got 345 votes, his rival Hiralal Poudel got 166 votes.

The result of the secretary's vote was reversed

Chandra Bahadur (CB) Gahatraj has won the post of secretary with 178 votes. Competitor Bishwa Karki got 176 votes.

Karki was initially declared the winner by a margin of five votes but lost when GahatRaj demanded a recount.

Another rival of the secretary, Bheshraj Pandey, got 160 votes. Similarly, Arjun KC and Sushila Darlami have been unanimously elected as deputy secretaries and women deputy secretaries respectively.
