Ready To Expand Cabinet After Recommending Minister's Name: Chief Minister Shahi

Jan 9, Kathmandu- Karnali Chief Minister Jiwan Bahadur Shahi has said that the cabinet could not be expanded as the name of the party minister has not been recommended.

He told reporters in Salyan today that there was no expansion of the cabinet in Karnali as the leaders of the ruling coalition parties did not recommend and send names. He said that the expansion of the cabinet could not be carried out as the meeting could not be held as many leaders of the CPN (Maoist Center) were infected with the corona.

He also claimed that he was ready to expand the cabinet whenever the party recommended the name of the minister. During a press conference, he said that two months and nine days after he became the Chief Minister, there were only three ministers but there were no major problems in their work.

He also informed that he sometimes visits the non-ministerial ministries himself. He said that work was being done by the ministry even though the cabinet expansion was not on time and more than Rs 10 million was saved due to the non-expansion of the cabinet.
