E-passport Distribution Started In Tanahun

Jan 15, Kathmandu- District Administration Office Tanahun has started the distribution of electronic passports (e-passports). After the launch of this service in the district on Friday, the obligation to go to Kathmandu to get an electronic passport has been removed.

In the first phase, electronic passport service has been started to provide service to 10 people daily, said Assistant Chief District Officer Kashiram Gaihre.

National identity card or its 10 digit number has been made mandatory for making the electronic passport. Therefore, the general public has to make a national identity card first.

The government has been making the distribution of electronic passports, which was issued on November 17, nationwide.
