Jan 16, Kathmandu- All the departments and campuses of Tribhuvan University will be closed till January 24. According to TU, the decision was made to control corona infection. Other universities are also discussing the possibility of closing down in physical presence.

With the decision of Tribhuvan University, most of the educational institutions across the country have stopped teaching in physical presence. TU accounts for 75 percent of higher education. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has already decided to close school level education till January 29. The government has already decided not to allow more than 25 people to gather in public places. The number of corona infections is also increasing daily.

The Executive Council of TU has decided to conduct the examinations that have already been decided and are currently being conducted by adopting health standards, even though the study will be closed. TU is currently conducting its fourth-year undergraduate exam. The Examination Control Office is preparing to conduct the third year examination from the last week of January.
