Feb 5, Kathmandu- The new academic session of the school is going to start from next Baishakh.
Due to the second wave of Covid-19, the current academic session had started from last Ashadha 1. Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Deepak Sharma, said that a decision could be taken if the impact of COVID-19 increases in the coming Baishakh.
He said that the annual examination will be held in the first week of next Baishakh and the results will be made public soon. He said that the practice of giving long leave after the end of the academic session should not be continued according to the time situation and urged the students not to be distracted till mid-Baishakh.
On average, schools have completed 50 to 60 percent of the courses. Most of the students, especially in community schools, are far from accessible due to the need to teach through online mediums.
