Leader Krishna Raj Barma Passes Away

Mar 6,Kathmandu- Veteran communist leader Krishna Raj Barma passed away on Sunday afternoon.

The 93-year-old Burma was admitted to Kathmandu's Hams Hospital a few days ago after he was diagnosed with chest problems. Burma has been active in politics since the anti-Rana movement of 2007 and is one of the leading leaders of the Jana Andolan of 1989 AD.

The CPN (Maoist) led by him was also involved in the Left Front at that time. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. He will be cremated today, said Madhu BC.
