Mar 18, Kathmandu-  Gandaki Chief Minister Krishnachandra Nepali Pokharel has said that access to healthcare in all parts of the state is a priority of the government. Inaugurating the newly constructed building of the Primary Health Center at Harichaur in Galkot Municipality-5 on Thursday, he said that manpower management was the main challenge now.

Stating that the state government has been working in the social sector in addition to the physical infrastructure with limited resources, he informed that the health policy has been issued to strengthen the health sector, and now an act is being drafted for its implementation. Stating that the state government has been working as much as possible for the development of the Galkot region, Chief Minister Pokharel said that the state has been working according to its capacity.

Despite the approval for three beds, the hospital currently has 15 beds in operation. A health center building has been constructed on a total of eight ropanis of land with an investment of Rs. 70 million. At least 1,200 patients, including two medical officers, come to the institution for treatment on a monthly basis.

Urge To Work to win the hearts of the people

Chief Minister Pokharel has urged the Congress cadres to be active in winning the hearts of the people. Speaking at a program organized by various units of the Nepali Congress in Baglung on Thursday, he said that the party has made its identity as a party that solves problems from the national to the local level.

Stating that Congress is currently leading the central and state governments due to political developments and the needs of the nation, he said that the party should be made the first party in the upcoming election.

Minister for Tourism, Industry, Commerce, and Supplies of Gandaki Pradesh and Congress leader Manibhadra Sharma Kandel said that the party organization should be made active at the grassroots level so that the people feel that the Congress is present in every problem of the people.

Aiming at the Chief Minister's visit to Baglung, Nepali Congress Regional Working Committee Constituency No. 2 Baglung, Nepali Congress Galkot Municipality-5 Ward Working Committee had convened a separate meeting of leading cadres. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the Rana Seva Samaj Community Tourist Infrastructure Building at Wadigad-2 Waglung on Thursday.
