Mar 19, Kathmandu-Nepal Telecom is preparing to reduce data charges. Speaking at an interaction program organized in Kathmandu on Friday, Deputy Managing Director of Nepal Telecom Sangeeta Pahadi said.

She explained that the cost of fixed internet has gone up as bandwidth is expensive. But she said they were ready to reconsider. Deputy Managing Director Pahadi said that the price of wireless data had to be reduced due to covid. She argued that the cost of wireless data had dropped from 100 percent to 25 percent over a two-year period due to Covid.

"It simply came to our notice then. This is not to say that it is expensive. It's not expensive because it's not included in the package, otherwise I think the hassle of wireless data has dropped from 100 percent to 25 percent, "said Pahadi, the deputy managing director.

That is why we have greatly reduced the hassle of this data. However, the cost of fixed internet has gone up as the cost of bandwidth has gone up. Stakeholders suggest that this could be considered. ' Nepal Telecom has been informed that the price of data will go down as soon as the cost of infrastructure construction goes down.
