Apr 6, Kathmandu- A total of 44,853 people have applied for the language test to be taken in Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS). South Korea had demanded the application of the first selection phase language test to bring the most workers from Nepal under EPS in the last five years.

Computer Engineer of EPS Branch Tek Bahadur Khadka informed that 10,858 applications have been received from the agriculture sector and 33,995 from the manufacturing sector till Monday. Compared to last year, the number of young people attracted to Korea for employment seems to have decreased due to intermittent travel to Korea due to corona.

The language test, which has been suspended for two years after 2019, was called for applications to be conducted from April with a plan to select 9,654 candidates for the year 2022.
