Apr 8, Kathmandu- It has been revealed that the guns, which were seized by the Armed Police Force Parsa on Thursday as illegal, have been confirmed to be licensed. Police have released the three suspects after finding them with licensed weapons. On the basis of special information, the Armed Police Force (APF) had arrested three people with firearms from Sabithawa of Bindabasini village in Parsa district.
During the interrogation, three people on a motorcycle (Na 57 Pa 3628) were arrested and a two-barreled gun with Super Quality Long Range and cartridge was recovered at around 9 in the morning on Thursday at Nahar Chowk in Sabithwa. Prem Thakur, 41, Rahul Thakur, 16, and Ramji Thakur, 55, of Parsagadhi Municipality-5 were taken under control by the Armed Police Force on a motorcycle and handed over to the District Police Office, Parsa for further investigation.
Superintendent of Police Ramesh Basnet said that the weapons seized by the Armed Police Force were found to be licensed. "Both have been found to have gun licenses", SP Basnet said, "Three people arrested by the armed forces and handed over to the Nepal Police have been released".
