Apr 14, Kathmandu- President Bidyadevi Bhandari has conferred various honorary titles and decorations on eminent persons of different regions of the country.

Vibhushan and honorary titles are being conferred at the decoration ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan i.e. Sheetal Niwas on Thursday.

This year, 11 human titles including Nepal Ratna, Rashtra Gaurav, Mahaujjwal Rashtradeep, Suprasiddha Prabal Janasevashri, Ujjwal Kirtimaya Rashtradeep, Prasiddha Prabal Janasevashri, Sukirtimaya Rashtradeep, Suprabal Janasevashri, Kirtimaya Rashtradeep, Prabal Janasevashri, and Janasevashree will be distributed.

The government had announced the honorary title and decoration on the day of Constitution Day 2021 AD (National Day) in honor of eminent persons of different regions of the nation.

Former Prime Minister and former President of Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Bhattarai has been posthumously awarded.

The Nepal Ratna and former Chairman of the Council of Ministers Suvarna Shamsher Rana has been posthumously awarded the National Pride.

Former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has been conferred the National Pride.

Tulsilal Amatya, Mangaladevi Singh, Durgananda Jha, Narayangopal Guruvacharya have been posthumously awarded and Cholendra Shamsher Jabra and Mohan Chandra Adhikari have been decorated with the Great Lamp.

Prominent public service politician Pradip Nepal, posthumously Post Bahadur Bogati and Marshal Julum Shakya, and brilliant national lamp Vishwambhar Prasad Shrestha have been awarded. Famous Prabal Janasevashri 39, Sukirtimaya Rashtradeep 28, Suprabal Janasevashri 158, Kirtimaya Rashtradeep 7, Prabal Janasevashri 313, and Janasevashri 185 are being provided.

Similarly, according to Rama Acharya, Chief of the Vibhushan Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, 107 ornaments and six medals have been awarded to 37 security personnel. The ornaments and medals will be distributed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
