Rabindra Mishra Asks For A Chance For Kathmandu

Apr 16, Kathmandu- The Bibeksheel Sajha Party has made public the election manifesto for the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The party has made public the pledge letter along with the candidates by organizing a press conference at the party's central office on Saturday.

Bibeksheel Party has nominated Samikshya Baskota and Kirti Tuladhar for the post of mayor and deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City respectively for the local level election to be held on May 13.

At a press conference, Rabindra Mishra, chairman of Bibeksheel Saja Party, urged the voters to give him a chance to work in Kathmandu once. He said, "You are giving others a chance time and time again. We are looking for an opportunity to work. This is a democratic nation, if we can't show it by working, we won't be given another chance".

He also urged the voters to test the maturity, ability, and sincerity of his party's candidate.

At the launch of the pledge letter, mayoral candidate Samikshya Baskota said that the discriminating share has put forward young women under 40 and another woman above 60 in terms of age and women empowerment.

Baskota said, "There are many problems in the Kathmandu metropolis. Just as we struggle to solve personal problems, we also struggle to solve the problems of the metropolis. I express my commitment to work for the Kathmandu metropolis on the basis of honesty and transparency".

Baskota, a 38-year-old candidate who is also a central member of the party, has studied law. She has been a lawyer.

Kriti Tuladhar, a 62-year-old deputy mayoral candidate, vowed to keep the Kathmandu metropolis clean, and beautiful and preserve its culture if she succeeds as deputy mayor.
