Apr 16, Kathmandu- Nepal Academy of Science and Technology has built an electric scooter. NAST has developed this electric scooter in collaboration with the Lumbini state government.

The project was initiated with the objective of studying the feasibility of commercial production of electric scooters in Lumbini province. An agreement was recently reached between NAST and the Lumbini state government to conduct a feasibility study and build a prototype of an electric scooter.

According to Rabindra Dhakal, Head of Technology Faculty of NAST, the construction and study work of scooters has been completed under this project which has been started with the financial support of Lumbini Province.

The project, led by Pralad Gupta, Technical Lead of NAST, has completed the entire work.
