Within 5 Days 'KGF 2' Earns Over Rs 6 Billion

April 19, Kathmandu- The Kannada film 'KGF Chapter 2' released on Thursday has earned over Rs 6 billion. The film has crossed the 6 billion mark in just 5 days. At the same time, 'KGF 2' has become the tenth Indian film to earn more than Rs 6 billion.

The film, which was screened simultaneously on more than 10,000 screens, had grossed over Rs 1.30 billion on its first day. According to the production team, the film has grossed Rs 6.25 billion worldwide in five days. It has also reached the ninth position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films.

'KGF 2' has broken the record of Lifetime Gross Collection of 'Sultan', 'Padmavat', 'War', 'Sanju', 'Dhoom 3', 'Tiger is Alive' in just 5 days. The film is almost certain to surpass 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and '2.0' on Tuesday. The lifetime gross collection of 'Bahubali' is Rs 6.5 billion while that of '2.0' is Rs 6.55 billion.

The KGF, which was launched in 2018, had earned a total of Rs 2.5 billion. After the release of the first film, millions of viewers were waiting for its second chapter. The film is getting an enthusiastic response from the audience and mixed responses from the critics.

Written and directed by Prashant Neel, Period Action Drama stars Jan Raj in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt, Ravina Tandon, Srinidhi Setti, and Prakash Raj in the lead roles.
