Apr 22, Kathmandu- CPN-UML has honored 17 senior communist warriors who contributed to the communist movement underground during the Panchayat period with the 'Communist Warrior Award'.

UML honored him on the occasion of the 74th founding day of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).

UML has honored Jhapa movement leaders Amar Karki, Bhim Bahadur Khatiwada, Kumari Mahara of Dhanusha, Chatur Byanjankar of Lalitpur, Bishnu Dangol of Kathmandu, Basanta Gauchan of Baglung, Nanimaiya Nakarmi of Kathmandu, singer Ram Krishna Duwal, Hari Sharma, Teknath Baral of Kaski and Laxmi Joshi of Kanchanpur.

He was felicitated by UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli in the presence of the party president.
