Licenses To Private Hospitals only where there are no government hospitals

May 2, Kathmandu- The Ministry of Health and Population will now issue licenses to private hospitals only where there are no government hospitals.

Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief of the Monitoring Division, informed that such a policy is being brought under the 'Nepal Health Sector Strategy Plan 2022-2030'. He said that the number of government and private hospitals has increased in the same place at present and there are no hospitals in some places.

He said that a draft is being prepared to allow the opening of private hospitals in places where there are no government hospitals. He also informed that tax exemption and concession will be given to open private hospitals in places where there is no government. He said that the draft is being prepared to be implemented in the next fiscal year.
