Russian Army's 'Battalion' Destroyed In An Attack By The Ukrainian Army

May 14, Kathmandu- In eastern Ukraine, a unit of the Russian army was destroyed when it was attacked by Ukrainian forces while crossing a river. Ukrainian security officials say a "battalion" unit of the Russian army was destroyed in a counter-attack by Ukrainian forces.

Amid pressure to achieve greater results, the Russian army took a risky step across the river via a temporary bridge and was targeted by the Ukrainian army.

According to Sky News, Russian forces were attacked by Ukrainian forces while crossing the Siverskyi Donets River, west of the city of Severodonetsk.

A video released by the Ukrainian side shows several military equipment and military vehicles destroyed by fire. According to the British Ministry of Defense, Russia lost a battalion-sized military unit in the attack.

A "battalion" of the Russian army usually has between 700 and 800 soldiers. Russian troops invaded Ukraine on February 24 and fierce fighting is raging in eastern Ukraine.

According to the international media, the Ukrainian army has recently intensified its counter-attack against the Russian army.
