At Present, Non-Communicable Diseases Are On The Rise All Over The World: Dr. Lochan Karki (with video)

May 22, Kathmandu- Dr. Lochan Karki, Chairman of the Medical Association, said that non-communicable diseases are on the rise all over the world.

Speaking on the Headline Bishesh of Headline Nepal, he said that there are more diseases like Blood Pressure, sugar, heart-related diseases, and diabetes. He added that the current World Health Organization budget is also focused on such diseases.

Referring to the sudden death of some candidates in the local body elections, he said, "Due to the busy schedule of the political parties, the lifestyle, food and living conditions are not going well, which is why such diseases are more prevalent". The older you get, the more you suffer from such diseases. He said that the incident took place as the candidates with such diseases did not pay attention to the use of medicines as the candidates would be more stressed in the local level elections. He also urged the candidates with heart-related diseases and other ailments to take care of their health.

He also urged the people to be vigilant saying that the coronavirus pandemic has not ended. He urged the people to adhere to the required health standards as the local elections would be more crowded.
