Karnali Government Will Form ‘Karnali Singh Durbar'

Jun 17, Kathmandu: The Karnali province government is planning to build 'Karnali Singha Durbar' with eight ministries in one place. The state government is going to build Birendranagar Municipality-7 on the land of Itram Surkhet south of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

At a press meet organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning to give detailed information about the budget and programs, the spokesperson of the state government and Minister for Planning Bindaman Bista said that Rs. 150 million has been allocated for the construction of Karnali Singha Durbar in the coming Fiscal Year 2022/23 AD. Spokesperson Bista said that all the eight ministries of the state have started constructing a single structure for the flow of integrated administrative services.

Stating that the ministries of the state government and some other government offices could also be included in the structure of the Karnali Singha Durbar, Minister Bista said that a wall would be built around it, an open platform with a ministry and a meeting hall would be constructed inside it.

He said that the work would be started in the first month of next year. Finance Secretary Zak Prasad Acharya informed that Rs. 20 million has been allocated for the construction of the assembly hall, Rs. 50 million for the construction of the wall and Rs. 80 million for the construction of the ministry.
