Jul 3, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress leader Mohan Bahadur Basnet has provided financial assistance to the couple whose cart of maize was picked up by the metropolis last Ashadha (Friday).
Today (Sunday) two leaders of Sindhupalchowk, including Basnet, donated Rs. 51,000 in cash to the Chetendra Acharya couple of Melamchi-10, Sindhupalchowk. Basnet said that he helped them after finding out that there was a problem in paying the rent and educating the children after the metropolis took away their only source of income from them,
He also suggested doing business in such a way that there would be no problem in the movement of vehicles and the movement of the general public. The video of the metropolis confiscating their vehicles while they were cooking maize on the side of the road at the Chowk, 200 meters north of the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, went viral on social media.
