Jul 4, Kathmandu- The hackers have taken advantage of the British military's official Twitter and YouTube accounts to promote cryptocurrency. The UK Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the army's social media account has been hacked.

"The crypto has been propagated by hacking the army's Twitter and YouTube accounts", the ministry said in a statement. The army is studying this seriously.

The hackers changed the name of the Army's Twitter page to ARK Investments. Also, the YouTube channel was hacked and all the videos on it were deleted. The video was replaced by crypto-related content.

Currently, both accounts are fully operational.
