Two Schools Built In Nepal With Indian Assistance Inaugurated

Jul 7, Kathmandu: Two schools built in Nepal with Indian assistance were inaugurated in the Maharajgunj Municipality-9 in Kapilvastu District of Nepal on Thursday.

According to the Indian Embassy, the two schools School Buildings of Shivbhari Secondary School and Shree Janaki Higher Secondary School have been built with grants assistance from the Government of India at the cost of NRs.59.20 million. Both schools were inaugurated by the First Secretary of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu Shri Karun Bansal.

The project is part of the "Amrit Mahotsav of Independence Day" launched by the Government of India to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India's independence. The new infrastructure constructed under this project will create a conducive environment for these schools.

Since 2003, India has launched more than 527 high-impact community development projects in Nepal, with 470 projects completed in seven provinces of Nepal in the areas of health, education, drinking water, connectivity, sanitation, and other public amenities.

Among these 60 are in Lumbini province, including five in the Kapilvastu district. Nepal and India have a multilateral and multi-sectoral development partnership that reflects the closeness between the people of the two countries.
