Janardhan Sharma Investigation Will Start From Next Tuesday

Jul 8, Kathmandu:  Finance Minister Janardan Sharma who is outgoing has been accused of involving unauthorized persons to manipulate tax rates and will be investigated from next Tuesday.

After the question was raised, the House of Representatives formed an 11-member special committee (investigation committee) on 6 July 2022 AD. The committee has been given 10 days to start its work. On Friday (July 8, 2022 AD), Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota held a facilitation meeting at the Parliament House, New Baneshwor.

The meeting has assigned Surendra Aryal, Joint Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, as the secretary of the special committee. The facilitation meeting has decided to hold the first meeting of the special committee next Tuesday.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the first meeting to be held on Tuesday will decide the coordinator of the committee. On the same day, the committee will start its work by formulating the working procedure.
