Jul 12, Kathmandu: The Civil Servants Hospital 9 Civil will provide specialized eye services. The hospital will provide specialized eye services in coordination with Tilganga Hospital. An agreement has been signed between the executive director of the hospital Prof Dr. Bidhannidhi Poudel and the chief executive officer of Tilganga Eye Hospital Dr. Rita Gurung today.

The executive director of the hospital Dr. Poudel said that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with Tilganga to provide technical assistance for the operation of specialized eye services in civil. He said that Civil would set up a specialized eye service center with the help of Tilganga.

The Civil Servants Hospital will provide specialized eye services. The hospital will provide specialized eye services in coordination with Tilganga Hospital.

He has been undergoing eye treatment at the Civil Hospital for the past year. There is now an eye doctor and two technicians. Director Dr. Poudel informed that the service will be provided soon by three doctors. According to him, cheap spectacles are being made available at the hospital.
    
It has been agreed that Tilganga Hospital will train the ophthalmologists and technicians of the Civil Hospital, help in producing skilled manpower, and facilitate the design and purchase of equipment for the operation of eye surgeries in the Civil Hospital. It has also been agreed that if any eye-related disease is found in the eye patients who come to Tilganga for treatment, it will be treated by the Civil Hospital.

It has also been agreed to refer the eye patients who have not been treated at the Civil Hospital to the specialized service Tilganga and to coordinate educational programs and research works with each other.
