JSP Two-Thirds Central Members Were Present At The Birgunj Meeting 

Jul 14, Kathmandu: The establishment party has claimed that about two-thirds of the people were present at the central committee meeting of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).

The second-day meeting of the Central Committee held in Birgunj was attended by 300 people, said Pradip Yadav, Union Minister and Minister for Forests. "Our central committee has 499 members. About 50 of them are not in the party for various reasons, 'Yadav said. Central members continue to arrive.

He said that the central members demanded disciplinary action against those involved in sabotaging the local elections and anti-party activities. Yadav said that Baburam Bhattarai's activities were against the party's constitution. According to Yadav, 19 federal lawmakers were present at the meeting.

Federal Council Chairman Baburam Bhattarai had called a meeting of cadres on herbs in parallel. Federal MPs Bhattarai and Mahindra Ray Yadav were present at the meeting. Bhattarai and Yadav were absent from the rally in Ragunj and MPs Raj Kishor Yadav and Amrita Agrahari remained neutral, said JSP executive member Yuvraj Karki.

He claimed that only seven people were absent from Tuesday's executive meeting. "Baburam Bhattarai, Mahindra Ray Yadav, Ramesh Yadav, Ganga Narayan Shrestha, and Dambar Khatiwada did not attend the executive meeting," he said. "Raj Kishorji and Amritaji have not gone anywhere." They have said we are against partition.
