Musician Ram Dhami who made Itahari his home, has passed away

Janaury 12, Kathmandau- Musician Ram Dhami, who made Itahari his home, has passed away.

He died at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on Sunday evening. Dhami (55 year old) was hospitalized due to corona infection. Khem Risal, a local singer and media person, said that he was treated in the ICU after he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Dhami, who is also the president of the Itahari-based Sangeet Sadhana Pratisthan and a scholar of the Nepal Sangeet and Natya Pratisthan, was engaged in music creation and training in Mofasal. Dhami, who is also considered to be a great singer of Tharu language, has spread music in the Nepali music field. Dozens of singers including Rajeshpayal Rai, Swarupraj Acharya, and Abha Mukharung have given voice in the songs composed by Dhami. The body of musician Dhami was laid to rest at the Sangeet Sadhana Pratisthan in the morning and was cremated on Monday afternoon.
