Jul 14, Kathmandu- The 18-member squad of the Indian team for the T20 series against the West Indies has been announced. Virat Kohli has not been included in the five-match series starting July 29. There was a lot of speculation about Virat, now it is clear that he will not go to West Indies to play the T20 or ODI series.
Apart from Kohli, ODI's number one fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also been rested from the T20 series. Bumrah had taken 6 wickets for 19 runs in the Oval ODI against England. After the operation, KL Rahul also returned to the team.
Apart from this, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also been rested from the series. Ravi Bishnoi has been given a chance in his place. Ravichandran Ashwin is also back on the team. Apart from these, spinner Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav have also been selected for the team. However, KL Rahul and Kuldeep will have to pass the fitness test.
