Jul 17, Kathmandu: CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has accused the power alliance of increasing Indian manipulation. He has also claimed that the visit of Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress leader Arju Rana to India is an example of that.
Speaking to the media in Pokhara today (Sunday), General Secretary Pokharel said that the leaders have gone on a visit to Delhi in order to maintain the current power alliance till the next elections. He also commented that it is helpless for the national interest and independence to sit outside and discuss the political issues of Nepal.
He also recalled that in the past there was an Indian representative in the cabinet meeting of Nepal. He also accused the ruling coalition of trying to do the same even now. According to him, the finance minister has brought Indian citizens to the ministry as advisors to change the revenue rates in the context of budgeting. He also said that the nation's head bowed when such people participated in a sensitive issue like the economy.
