Ruling Coalition Parties Holding First Meeting For Seat-Sharing

Aug 8, Kathmandu:  The first meeting of the working faction formed by the ruling coalition to allocate seats for the province and House of Representatives(HoR) elections scheduled for November 20 is being held today.

The meeting of the working faction formed to prepare the seat allocation modality is going to be held today at 3 pm. A member of the working faction informed us that the meeting will be held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar.

The meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition held on the August 5 decided to coordinate the upcoming elections and formed an 11-member working faction for seat-sharing. Krishna Prasad Sitaula, General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa, and Gyanendra Bahadur Karki from the Nepali Congress whereas Barshman Pun and Jarnadan Sharma from the Maoist Center are in the working faction.

Likewise, Vice President Pramesh Hamal and General Secretary Beduram Bhusal from CPN United Samajwadi Party, Ram Sahay Yadav, and Rakam Chemjong from Janata Samajwadi Party, and Himlal Puri and Anand Sharma from Rashtriya Jan Morcha are members.
