Aug 8, Kathmandu: The National Assembly meeting under the Federal Parliament has started.

In the meeting which started at 1 pm on Monday at the Parliament House in Nayabaneshwor. The Chairman will inform about the letter regarding the verification of the bill received from the office of the President.

Likewise, the chairman will propose the names of the members who are in the subject committee for nomination according to rule 149 of the National Assembly Rules(2019 AD). Secretary General of the Federal Parliament Dr. Bharatraj Gautam informed that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has an agenda to present various reports to the Assembly.

According to the agenda, Home Minister Balkrishna Khan will present a proposal that "(Prison Bill, 2020 AD) should be sent to the Legislation Management Committee for quarterly discussion" received with a message from the House of Representatives.
