Aug 11, Kathmandu- A writ has been registered in the Supreme Court against the appointment of Film Development Board Chairman Bhuwan KC.

The other candidates who applied for the chairmanship of the Development Board claiming that KC was not qualified to be appointed as the chairman filed a writ demanding the cancellation of the decision of the Council of Ministers on 25 July to appoint KC.

KC has demanded that the appointment be revoked saying that he has only passed the certificate level, even though he has to pass graduation to be appointed as the chairman of the development board. Supreme Court spokesperson Bimal Paudel informed that the writ has been registered and the preliminary hearing will be held on Monday.
