Aug 13, Kathmandu- A police constable died in a police jeep accident in Rukum East.

Today (Saturday) morning, a police constable who was seriously injured in an accident on the road of Putha Uttarganga Municipality-11 Sera died on the spot. Police Constable Laxman Pun was among those who died.

In the same accident, a DSP of the Armed Forces and 2 soldiers were taken to Kohalpur for treatment by helicopter of the Nepali Army. Police Constable Kumar Dangi and Police Constable Santosh Budha, who were in serious condition along with Deputy Superintendent Ravin Shrestha, and Rukum former chief of the Armed Police Force, were taken to Kohalpur for treatment by helicopter.

It is said that DSP Prakash Dangi of District Police Office Rukum Rukum East and two other injured persons who are also seriously injured will be taken by helicopter again for treatment. According to Chief District Officer of Rukum East, Tularaj Sunuwar, the accident happened after the jeep numbered Lu 1 Jha 660 fell down about 80 meters from the road.
