Aug 14, Kathmandu- 40 parties have been registered in the Election Commission so far.
The Election Commission has called for party registration for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly member elections from Shrawan 22 to 31. By Saturday, 40 different political parties had been registered. So far, CPN UML, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP), and CPN-Unified Socialist have registered their parties. The Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center are in the process of registration.
