Mayor Balen: Garbage Trucks Have Arrived At Banchare Danda, Long-Term Management In Process

Aug 14, Kathmandu- More vehicles are going to reach Bancharedanda with garbage piled up in Kathmandu Valley from today. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has said that if there are no obstacles, 250 to 350 vehicles will reach Bancharedanda every day from today.

He also mentioned on social media that 152 vehicles reached Bancharedanda on Saturday itself. "Daily 250 to 350 vehicles carrying garbage will reach Banchare. But since 75 vehicles in Kathmandu and the same amount from other municipalities emit daily, 150 vehicles have to be managed daily," he wrote, "so it will take some time to reach a regular state. It requires everyone's cooperation.

Mayor Sah has also mentioned that efforts will be made for the long-term management of waste. He wrote, "There are plans for long-term waste management, and efforts will be made to the extent possible." Our ultimate goal is to manage waste in such a way that no one has to suffer from waste, no one has to lose and everyone has a common win.
