Ben Sears Replaces Matt Henry In The West Indies ODI Squad

Aug 14, Kathmandu- New Zealand's fast bowler Matt Henry is going to miss the ODI against the West Indies.

He is going to miss the ODI match against West Indies due to a rib injury.

In his place, Ben Sears will go to the West Indies.

New Zealand Cricket said in a statement that Henry had experienced pain in his left side during training last week.

After that, it was decided to replace him with Ben Sears after his condition did not improve.

He was not in the starting eleven in the two T20 against the West Indies.

New Zealand was victorious in both matches.

Henry last played three one-day matches against Ireland in July, in which he took four wickets.

After that, he went to play county cricket.

According to the head coach of New Zealand, Gary Stead, his injury is not serious and there is a possibility that it will increase while playing, so he has been kept out as a matter of course.

The ODI series against the West Indies will begin on Wednesday.

Sears will make his debut with the New Zealand team in one-day cricket.
