Aug 22, Kathmandu- Jhala Nath Khanal, the respected leader of the power partner CPN United Socialist Party, has said that he is not in the presidential race.

Leader Khanal, who reached Gulmi during party training, said that the current race is not for the president, but for the party, as he is ready to play his role as per the needs of the country and the party. He said that he will compete in the election according to the instructions of the party before the President.

He has also openly said that he is always in favor of left unity. Leader Khanal also said that now people are looking for a new face in leadership. He said that along with age, there is a need for leaders and leadership with competence and ability.

He said that the youth should not force themselves to find a position, but if they develop their skills, the first generation will be displaced by themselves.
