Aug 31, Kathmandu- Nepali national football team captain and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong is married. Captain Kiran married his girlfriend Kanchan Niraula on Wednesday. Kiran and air hostess Kanchan were in a relationship for one and a half years.

At Kiran's wedding, close relatives and football players, officials were invited to the wedding. Last month, on the occasion of winning the title of Dhivehi Premier League, the top division league of Maldives, Kiran proposed marriage to Kanchan on the field.

He was adjudged the best goalkeeper when Kiran-affiliated Maziya Sports and Recreation won the Maldives top league title.
