Sep 14, Kathmandu: Nepal cricket team captain and star spinner Sandeep Lamichhane have been accused of raping a minor. According to media reports, this allegation has been leveled against Sandeep Lamichhane by a 17-year-old girl from Kathmandu. At the same time after the complaint of the minor. The police started investigating this entire incident. The minor said that Lamichhane had raped her twice.

Sandeep Lamichhane is currently not in Nepal. He has gone to the West Indies to play in the Caribbean Premier League. Lamichhane has not given any statement till now after the minor was accused of rape. At the same time, the Nepal police said that the minor has made allegations of rape against the captain and star leg-spinner of the Nepal cricket team. After registering the case of the minor, the police started investigating the whole matter.

Giving information about the whole matter, Kathmandu District Police Range chief Bharat Bahadur Bohora said that the police circle in the city’s Gaushala registered a complaint on Wednesday. He told that the investigation of the case has been started after the medical test.

Sandeep Lamichhane is the only cricketer from Nepal who has participated in IPL. He made his league debut for Delhi Capitals in the year 2018. He has landed for IPL in two seasons. At the same time, he has participated in 9 matches for Delhi. Lamichhane has achieved 13 successes in 9 matches of IPL. At the same time, apart from IPL, he is seen playing in many foreign leagues like Australia’s Big Bash, West Indies Caribbean Premier League, and Pakistan Super League.
