Nepal-India Joint Secretary Level Meeting Begins

Sep 21, Kathmandu: The joint secretary level meeting of the governments of Nepal and India has started. A two-day meeting of joint secretaries between the two countries has started in Kathmandu from Wednesday.

In the meeting, discussions will be held on Pancheshwar Multipurpose Project, head regulator in front of Tanakpur Barrage and Odal Tie of Link Canal, construction of road connecting Nepal-India border Tanakpur-Mahendranagar, release of irrigation water in Chandni-Dodhara area, Saptakoshi High Dam Multipurpose Project and Sunkoshi Storage and Diversion Plan.

Similarly, issues related to Koshi and Gandak project, Koshi project, Gandak project, activities of various bilateral committees will be discussed.
The problems of inundation and erosion of other rivers flowing from Nepal to India, the status of newly raised works on Khando, Banganga and West Rapti rivers are also said to be discussed.

The flight from Nepal to India, problems caused by Mahali Sagar, erosion in Mahakali river in Bhujela village and Nepal-India border issues will be discussed.
