Oct 01, Kathmandu- A social worker from Banke district has arrived in Gulmi carrying Dashain expenses for orphan children. Leel Bahadur Thapa of Kharjura Rural Municipality-4 of Banke has brought the Dashai expenses of the orphan children of Gulmi. Thapa has provided Rs 55,000 for Dashain expenses to the orphan children who have been protected by managing a temporary dormitory in the scout building of Tamghas.
A few days ago, those children were organized in the scout building of Mahendra Sample High School. Thapa handed over the Dasain expenses to the assistant principal of the school, Laxmi Aryal, during a program. Speaking at the aid transfer program, Chief District Officer of Gulmi District, Punyavikram Paudel, said that street children are being managed together with all concerned agencies and thanked Thapa, the donor.
Khildhwaj Panthi, Mayor of Resunga Municipality, expressed his gratitude to Thapa for helping the future of the children by joining this virtuous work, saying that the district's local level, education coordination unit, administration and security agencies, and all related parties have succeeded in managing the children.
Loknath Marasini, unit head of Education Development and Coordination Unit, Gulmi, said that out of the aid amount, 10,000 cash will be used for warm clothes for the children and the remaining amount will be 45,000 for snacks and food.
Education Development and Coordination Unit Gulmi also honored social worker Thapa. Chief District Officer Paudel, Mayor Panthi of Resunga Municipality, Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Gulmi Arjun Ranabhat, and others honored Thapa.
