Oct 10, Kathmandu- Among those in China, the 83.4-meter tall tree is claimed to be the tallest tree. A scientific study by researchers released the details of the tallest tree in the country, yesterday on Sunday.
The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden said that among the trees in the country, the same tree is the tallest. The tallest tree on record has been named 'Abies ernestii var. salouenensis'.
It is said that the tree is located in the Tibet Autonomous Region, a mountainous area in the southwestern region of China. This tallest tree was identified for the first time last May. It was initially identified by the Institute of Botany under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was confirmed for the second time last August that the same tree is the tallest tree in the country.
Drones were used to identify the tallest trees. The thickness of that tree is two hundred and seven centimeters. It is also claimed that this tree is three hundred and eighty years old.
