Oct 18, Kathmandu: From now on, the registration form can be filled only in class 9. At the secondary level, dual registration forms were filled in class 9 and class 11.
National Examination Board(NEB) Chairman Dr. Mahashram Sharma informed that a committee has been formed to conduct a technical study to fill out the registration form for class 9 only at the secondary level. "A committee has been formed under my chairmanship. It is studying," he said.
"After the committee's recommendation, the registration form will be filled only in class 9. After that there is no need to fill out the registration form in class 11, the same registration will work till class 12.” Last week, the NEB published a notice giving a deadline of the middle of October for filling out the registration form for class 11.
Board Chairman Dr. Sharma said that since the formal decision is yet to be taken, the class 11 students will have to fill out the registration form this time and the class 11 students will not have to fill it out from 2023 AD onwards. Since the government has made classes 9 to 12 secondary level, it was not appropriate to fill out the registration form twice within the same level.
Class 10 Examination Control Office had taken a proposal in this regard to the board a few years ago, but the board did not want to take an 'unpleasant' decision to stop the income it was making and rejected the proposal outright. Now the board will have to lose at least 200 million rupees due to the decision to fill out the registration form only once at the secondary level, but the students will get a huge relief.
