Man Arrested On The Charge Of Stabbing A Person With Khukuri To Death In Nawalparasi

Nov 23, Kathmandu- A person has been arrested on the charge of being involved in the incident of the khukuri attack in a snack shop of Nawalparasi Bardaghat Municipality-4 on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday night, two people were stabbed in which one person died and the other person is in critical condition.

Gyanendra Bahadur Rana, 50, of Bardaghat Municipality-2, has been arrested for his involvement in the incident, said DSP Bhojraj Pandey, information officer of the district police office.

Police said that Rana, who reached the snack shop at around 9 o'clock on Tuesday night, shot the shop owner, 42-year-old Bishnu Kumari Kauchha, and 46-year-old Dilip Kumar Pun, who was sitting in the room.

Pun, who was seriously injured, died on Tuesday night during treatment. Bishnu, who is undergoing treatment at Bhairawa Medical College in critical condition, also belongs to Baglung's Badigad.

Police said that for the past 4-5 years, Bishnu has been running a snack shop in Bardghat alone. The deceased Pun and Bishnu are brothers and sisters.

DSP Pandey said that Rana, who ran away after the attack, was arrested while hiding in his own house. It is said that the incident is under investigation.
