International Film Festival Being Held With The Participation Of 34 Countries

Nov 24, Kathmandu- The 4th International Film Festival will be held from the 8th to the 10th of December. A three-day festival is going to be held under the auspices of the Nepal Culture and Film Center.

The inauguration ceremony will be held at Q'S Cinema Hall in Rising Mahal, Kathmandu. 34 countries will participate in the ceremony. The organizers are preparing to screen the film at three locations namely Film Development Board, Rising Mall, and Rashtriya Nachghar.

Along with Nepal, India, Iran, USA, China, Turkey, Bangladesh, Canada, Brazil, Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Poland, Philippines, Latvia, Germany, Armenia, UK, Japan, Italy, France, Greece, Levana, Netherlands, Cameroon, Cambodia Famous filmmakers from Belgium, UAE, South Africa, Hong Kong, Egypt, and other countries will join.

Santosh Subedi, director of the organization, informed that 106 films including 34 Nepali films from Nepal and 72 films from the participating countries will be screened. According to him, feature films, documentary films, short films, children's films, environmental films, women's films, and human rights films will be screened.

The organizers are preparing to award the best 30 films. Director Subedi said that the awards will be distributed based on the decision made by the international jury of seven people. The award distribution will be held on the 24th at the Film Development Board.
