Nov 24, Kathmandu- Despite the defeat in Bhaktapur-2, Mahesh Basnet, the famous leader of UML, participated in the 'Victory Rally' today.

He said that he participated in the rally to celebrate the victory of the party's state candidate and to thank the voters who voted for him. Basnet walked into the rally in the style of the winning candidate, greeting the voters by wearing garlands. Supporters also raised slogans in his favor. Speaking to the media during the rally, Basnet said that he accepted the defeat easily.

He said that since 6-7 parties have united against UML, the competition has become difficult. He wished good luck to the winning candidate, Durshab Thapa. He also suggested not creating a situation where people will miss them in a month or two.
