Nov 25, Kathmandu- After the Election Commission instructed to resume the counting of votes in Rupandehi-2, the workers of Rastriya Swatantra Party raised slogans.
They raised slogans against the vice president of CPN (UML) Bishnu Paudel who is a candidate from there. They protested outside the office of the Butwal sub-metropolitan city where the votes were counted. The Commission has instructed the Election Officer of Rupandehi-2 to count the votes by considering the number of ballots in the ballot box as official.
The counting of votes has been stopped here since 5 o'clock in the morning. Poudel's lead is maintained with a small difference. Ganesh Paudel, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, is in second place. The counting was halted after the ruling alliance parties protested that more ballots were found in the counting than the ones in Muchulka.
