US Ban On Chinese-made Surveillance Cameras

Nov 26, Kathmandu- The United States is preparing to ban the sale of communication equipment made by Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE. The US has decided to ban the use of Chinese-made video surveillance systems (surveillance cameras) along with other equipment, saying that using Chinese equipment could be dangerous for the country.

The United States has decided to ban the sale of Chinese equipment to the United States on the pretext that Chinese equipment poses a security risk to the critical infrastructure of the United States. It is said that the import or sale of certain technology products will be banned even though the country has not said anything about banning it completely.

The US ban on Chinese technology, which began under former President Donald Trump and continues under President Joe Biden's administration, is still ongoing. Along with Huawei and ZTE, the United States is also preparing to ban equipment manufactured by Hikvision and Doha. Both these companies manufacture surveillance cameras.
