Directly Dominated Leaders Are Above 50!

Nov 28, Kathmandu:  There is only negligible representation from the youth group towards direct elections in the House of Representatives(HoR).

As the results of 165 constituencies are in the final stages, there are only eight elected members under the age group of 40. Two are under the age group of 30. Until now, Rashtriya Swatantra Party Sobita Gautamsthe youngest elected member. In the age group, a maximum of 59 people of 50 to 60 years have been elected. It is seen that 38 people in the age group below 50 will be represented directly.

According to the results of 156 constituencies published till Sunday evening, 2 people under the age group of 30 years, 6 people in the age group of 30 to 40 years, and 30 people in the age group of 40 to 50 years have been elected. Similarly, 59 people in the age group of 50 to 60 were elected, while 47 people were elected in the age group of 60 to 70. There are 12 people above 70 years. Three of them are elected members above 80 years of age.

No one under the age of 40 has been elected to CPN (UML). Similarly, eight people in the age group of 40 to 50 years have been elected. There are 20 people in the age group of 50 to 60 years. There are 12 people in the 60 to 70 age group. KP Sharma Oli and Mangal Prasad Gupta are the presidents of the age group above 70 years.

Similarly, Yogesh Gauchan Thakali from Mustang is elected to the Nepali Congress under the age group of 30 years. He is 29 years old. Similarly, no member of Congress is directly elected from the age group of 30 to 40 years. Similarly, seven people in the age group of 40 to 50 have been elected.

There are 18 members in the age group of 50 to 60 years. 23 people in the age group of 60 to 70 have been elected from Congress. Party Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba along with four people above 70 years of age. Even in CPN (Maoist Centre), no member of the age group below 30 years has been elected. Similarly, four people in the age group of 40 to 50 have been elected. Ten people in the age group of 50 to 60 have been elected.

In the age group of 60 to 70, President Pushpa Kamal Dahal is only 'Prachanda'. Mahindra Rai Yadav has been elected from the above 70 groups. Two people in the age group of 40 to 50 years have been elected to CPN (Unified Socialist). Similarly, three people in the age group of 50 to 60 have been elected.

One person has been elected from the National Independent Party from the age group below 30 years. In Kathmandu 2, Sobita Gautam was elected from that party. Similarly, Dr. from the group of 30 to 40 age group. Dr.Tosima Karki and Hari Dhakal have been elected. Four people have been elected from the age group of 40 to 50.

30-year-old Gyan Bahadur Shahi has been elected from Jumla by Rashtriya Prajatantra Party. Similarly, 57-year-old party president Rajendra Lingden has been elected. Three people in the age group of 60 to 70 years have been elected. Similarly, two people over 70 years old have been elected from RPP.

Two of those elected from the Janata Samajwadi Party are in the age group of 40 to 50 years. Similarly, three people in the age group of 50 to 60 have been elected. One person in the age group above 70 has been elected. One of the people elected from the Democratic Socialist Party is in the age group of 50 to 60 years. There is also one person between 60 and 70 and two above 70.

Two of those elected from the Civil Liberation Party are from the age group of 30 to 40 years. One is from the age group of 40 to 50 years. Chandrakant (CK) Raut, the directly elected party president of the Janamat Party, is 45 years old. Chitra Bahadur KC who was elected from Rashtriya Janamorcha is 80 years old, while Mahant Thakur is the oldest member who was elected directly. Prem Suwal, the only directly elected member of the Nepal Labor Farmers Party, is 62 years old. Five people elected as independents are also in the age group above 50 years.
