Dec 17, Kathmandu- The movie 'Mahapurush', which has entered the eighth week of screening, has crossed the 51st day of screening today in some halls, including Kathmandu. Although it is expected that the audience will decrease after the corona epidemic, this year after 'Kabaddi 4: The Final Match', it has managed to earn Rs. 10 crores from the domestic box office by completing the 51st day. The film's writer and director Pradeep Bhattarai says that the sense of responsibility has increased with success.
"There is more energy with the support of the audience", he said. Not only in Nepal, but also in America, the film is being screened in the eighth week. Director Bhattarai says that it has helped to expand Nepali movies in the international market. Jatra, Shatru Ghate, and Jatrai Jatra movies, directed by him before this, also crossed the 51st day.
Bhattarai, who became a director after collaborating with 'Mah Sanchar' for a decade and a half as an assistant in telefilms, credits the success of Maha Jodi i.e. Madankrishna Shrestha and Harivansh Acharya. "I have been able to learn from them and direct them. I feel as if I have passed the exam given by studying at school", he said.
Actor Acharya, who returned to Nepal after visiting America, said that director Bhattarai was talented from the very beginning. "We used to entrust him with the TV movie. His work had already won our hearts. It makes me happy to be successful even in movies today", said actor Acharya.
Along with Maha Jodi, Gauri Malla, Rajaram Poudel, Rabindrasingh Baniyan, Shiru Bista along with Arun Chhetri and Anjana Baraili in the lead roles. The story of loneliness is shown in the movie.
Along with Nepal, Mahapurush, which is being performed in various countries in the United States, Australia, and Europe, is also being performed in Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and UAE since December 1st. Produced under the banner of Shatkon Arts Pvt Ltd, the movie Mahapurush is executive produced by Rabindra Singh Baniya and producer Deepesh Khatri. The movie has cinematography by Deepak Bajracharya and editing by Mitra D Gurung. Poet Navraj Parajuli also made his debut as a lyricist in this movie.
