Jan 2, Kathmandu: Provincial Assembly meeting of Province 1 has passed two ordinances and one regulation.
The first meeting of the second term held on Sunday passed two ordinances issued by the provincial government and the provincial assembly regulations 2017 AD (with amendments). Provincial Civil Service Ordinance 2022 AD submitted by Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Kedar Karki was passed in the meeting. Karki said that after the federal government delayed the implementation of administrative federalism, the provinces brought a separate ordinance to take action.
He said that political federalism and fiscal federalism are being implemented and states are making and implementing the budget themselves. He said, "However, administratively, in order to prepare an environment for employees to work confidently, we have brought the State Civil Service Ordinance 2022 when it was deemed necessary when there was no House."
On September 27, 2022 AD, the government issued the Provincial Civil Service Ordinance 2022 AD and some Provincial Acts Amendment Ordinance 2022. Sunday's meeting also passed some provincial law amendment ordinances. Sunday's meeting also passed a condolence resolution on the death of the then Minister of Forests, Environment and Land Conservation and Member of the Provincial Assembly Shekhar Chandra Thapa. Now the next meeting will be held on January 9 at 1 o'clock.
